Pavlina R. Tcherneva is Assistant Professor of Economics at Franklin and Marshall College. She was previously Visiting Faculty at Bard College and Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Cambridge Centre for Economic and Public Policy, Cambridge, UK. During 2000-2006 Pavlina also served as the Associate Director for Economic Analysis at the Center for Full Employment and Price Stability, where she remains a Senior Research Associate. She is also Research Scholar at the Levy Economics Institute.

   Pavlina conducts research in the fields of public policy and monetary theory and has collaborated with policymakers from Argentina, Bulgaria, China, Turkey, and the United States. She has published in the Rutgers Journal of Law and Urban Policy, the International Journal of Environment, Workplace, and Employment, and Oeconomicus. She is the coeditor of Full Employment and Price Stability: The Macroeconomic Vision of William S. Vickrey (Elgar 2004). Pavlina holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics (Phi Beta Kappa) from Gettysburg College and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she is also a Ph.D. Candidate, scheduled to defend on October 3, 2008. In her free time, Pavlina is pursuing her private pilot’s license.
