NOTE: The following is a list of suggested paper topics, which I will continue updating as the semester progresses. Please do not feel limited by these choices; you are welcome to pick a different topic of interest subject to my approval. The papers should be 4000-4500 words (i.e. 10 to 12 pages, 1.5 spaced).

Each of you will need to see me during my office hours or at an appointed time to discuss your topic of choice. The deadline for choosing a topic, meeting with me, and presenting a preliminary bibliography is Mar 3 (i.e. the last day before spring break).
